Ryan Donn, Kelowna based singer/songwriter, President of Festivals Kelowna, volunteer for Music BC. Donn performs throughout BC with his children's cultural performance "How do you follow a dream?". His songs can also be heard on local airwaves and have been placed on various TV shows.
Give a listen to Ryan's theme song, Stand Up! for Rutland Elementary High School. Very well done. Check out Ryan on "What's On" on Castanet as well as his "Kelowna Live Music Blog."

Frieso
Frieso started in the summer of '09. Bones had just returned home from B.C. and Dash from New Zealand and they both decided to start up a band. Having 2 members just wasn't enough, so they asked Mike to join. He did and thus created a perfect trio for a band called frieso. Check out the video after the jump

Carrie Harper at Woodside Design Gallery
Carrie Harper will be showing her recent works at A Woodside Design Gallery through the month of February. Come and Be Inspired!
Carrie studied at The Alberta College of Art and Design in the early 1990’s and through the experience she discovered her own language. Carrie appreciated learning a sense of self as well as of creativity. Art school fed right into her fascination with much technical know-how and creative modes and she immersed herself into any medium available; textiles, ceramics, photography, drawing, art history and more. As a painter this childlike love of process shows up in her many different styles. Carrie uses Watercolors, acrylics, oils, collage and pastels as well as other drawing mediums and with each discovers another facet of art making.
