Well I came across a post on Ryan Donn's website. A gig last weekend at O'flannigans pub featured a band called Trinity's Tattoo. I happen to be friends with Nori ( Wentworth Music) and Scotty and I have never been to one of their shows. I guess it's time to see them in person. This video shows just how good this band really is! Check'm out.

Heat fall short of podium, fall in 4 sets in the Bronze Medal match to FX Garneau

SAINT JOHN, NB – After being upset by pestering rival Vancouver Island University in the semis, the Heat swept Humber College, qualifying for the Bronze medal match against the FX Garrneau Élans.  Emotionally drained from the previous night’s fall to the Mariners, and physically drained from the bout against Humber College earlier in the day, the defending CCAA Champions were stunned again when the Elans kept the Heat away from the podium, winning the Bronze Medal 3 sets to 1 (25-21, 25-18, 19-25, 25-22).  Myrte Schön was named the Heat’s Player of the Match, doing a bit of everything to tally 16 kills, 14 digs and 5 blocks. Alex Basso was selected as a national championship second team all-star and teammate Myrte Schön was selected to the tournament first all-star team.

Heat swept by Bearcats in heartbreaking Final. Bring home Silver medal from Nationals

SHERBROOKE, QC –  Familiar foes reunited in a face-off of the ages for the CCAA National Championship Gold Medal match in men’s Volleyball as the #1 ranked UBC Okanagan Heat squared off against the 6th seeded Columbia Bible College Bearcats.  The Heat fell short of their title aspirations, eventually falling to the Bearcats in a 3 set sweep (29-31, 15-25, 26-28).  The Heat forced deuce in the first and third sets, narrowly dropping either, in a matchup where every serve and every play counted.  The second set drubbing came at the hands of numerous mistakes, most notably from several service errors that turned into easy points for the Bearcats.

Skratch Bastid at Sapphire Club

Saturday March 12 2011 – Sapphire presents Skratch Bastid with Sapphire resident DJ Swat
In 2010, The Bastid has become one of Canada’s most in-demand DJs and respected producers but don’t think it happened overnight.  From his humble beginnings a decade ago as a teenager in Halifax- pumping out mixtapes from his bedroom and earning a loyal following already back then- he slowly spread his skills first at DJ competitions like DMC, ITF, and Scribble Jam and now around Canada and the world as a widely recognized go-to guy for party-rocking. The illest redhead on turntables has since gone viral. Seriously, youtube that shit.
