Steve DiPaola -- computer based cognitive scientist, artist and researcher -- will be on campus in January to give a talk as part of the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies' Visiting Artist Speaker Series.
DiPaola uses Artificial Intelligence to create new types of art and expression systems for use in communication, learning, interactive games and digital media systems.In this talk he will discuss and demonstrate his work in this area and show his ongoing work with the Vancouver Aquarium to create a life-based Virtual Beluga Whale. This talk is free and open to the public.
